At the Building Bridges Coalition we are working to foster a culture of international service and a heightened sense of compassion across borders that will build bridges between Americans and volunteers of different countries, cultures, races, ethnicities and religious beliefs.
Based in our belief that volunteering brings people together, we are launching the #VolunteerTogether campaign for the United Nations’ International Volunteer Day on December 5th.
What we’re asking organizations and individuals to do is the following:
- Sign up to be counted as a participant and receive updates using the form at the bottom of the page
- Organize a volunteering/service activity during the week of November 25th to December 5th – keep the Sustainable Development Goals in mind!
- Document it with photos or videos (print our official sign or make your own #VolunteerTogether sign)
- Post about the activity (or any ongoing volunteering activity) during the week of November 25th to December 5th using the hashtag #VolunteerTogether and a message about why we volunteer and how we’re addressing the SDGs in our communities and world
The most creative #VolunteerTogether posts will be announced and featured on the Building Bridges Coalition main page!
